E-Comic Media on Climate Change Topics to Increase Elementary School Students' Learning Motivation: Needs Analysis

Abstract

E-comic media on the topic of climate change is needed in the teaching and learning process to increase elementary school students' learning motivation. This research aims to analyze the needs of students and teachers in developing e-comic media to increase student learning motivation and improve student learning outcomes on the topic of climate change. Descriptive quantitative research method with research subjects 35 third grade students at Al Malik Prabumulih Integrated Islamic Elementary School and 17 Al Malik Prabumulih Integrated Islamic Elementary School teachers . The instrument used in this research is a needs analysis questionnaire. Based on the results of this research, it is stated that students need e-comic learning media to increase learning motivation and learning outcomes. Based on the questionnaire data obtained, teachers need e-comic learning media on the topic of climate change to explain the material to students so that it is easier for students to understand and comprehend the material being explained. It can be concluded that e-comic media on the topic of climate change needs to be developed and in the application of e-comic media it can be used on other subject matter topics to obtain effectiveness in learning activities.
